Summer is light, bright and vital, a time for holidays and socialising. Our food choices should also be light, bright and create vitality. Brightly coloured fruits and vegetables are high in antioxidants that help reduce the free radical damage in our cells and prevent chronic disease. Nourish yourself with a day of yoga, relaxation and nutritious food whilst learning all about how to improve sleep and maximise energy levels.

Reset your mind & body
Throughout our time together, you will be guided through a range of nurturing yoga practices to support you during summer - the season of invigoration and action.
We will begin the morning with meditation and breath work, followed by a gentle flow yoga practice, designed to awaken the body and bring you into the present moment.
Later in the day, we will finish with a beautiful restorative yoga practice, designed to soothe the nervous system and release any stored tension from the body and mind, followed by
a Yoga Nidra practice - a form of guided relaxation that promotes deep rest and relaxation.
Learn how to support your health naturally
Over two interactive workshop sessions, we will discuss practical tips to create that summer glow. In particular we will focus on how to weave summer produce into our meals to boost energy and improve sleep.
From antioxidant rich, brightly coloured fresh fruits and vegetables to quality whole grains and good fats and proteins, learn how to put together balanced meals to maximise energy throughout the whole day.
In summer, the longer days and the hotter nights can make it more difficult to have a deep refreshing sleep. Learn about foods to include and lifestyle practices to boost your natural melatonin for a better sleep. The aim is to be jumping out of bed in the morning full of vitality!

What's included
A carefully curated day of mindful movement, learning, self reflection and relaxation to set you up for the season ahead. The retreat is held in a serene bush setting surrounded by nature and includes two yoga classes (gentle flow & restorative), guided relaxation, meditation and breath work as well as two practical nutrition workshops. You will also be given a wholesome seasonal lunch to enjoy, with healthy snacks and drinks provided throughout the day.

Andrea is an experienced Nutritionist and Naturopath who has a special interest in uncovering the root causes of your health problems and using food as medicine. Lauren (The Botanical Yogi) is an experienced yoga teacher with a passion for sharing gentle and supportive seasonal yogic practices that aim to nurture, nourish, rest and restore.
Together, we have created The Naturally Better Living Seasonal Wellness Day Retreats to help busy people manage their health and wellbeing. Consciously choosing the right seasonally appropriate foods and lifestyle practices to nourish your body and support your health, not only restores your sense of vitality but can reduce the need for both additional supplements and some medications.
"I really do believe in the concept of using food as medicine. Having studied Human Nutrition for 8 years, completing a ‘mainstream’ applied science degree as well as the holistic nutrition and naturopathy side, I have developed a thorough and balanced awareness of the importance of our food and lifestyle choices. As an experienced and passionate teacher and practitioner, I have been teaching the theory of nutrition subjects since 2012 as well as running a private practice clinic in Sydney’s North shore since 2010.
My students often ask me how to ‘practically’ implement the theory and my clients often ask me for detailed menu plans and recipes. These seasonal workshops provide all the answers, the practical knowledge of how to make sensible and healthy changes to your diet and lifestyle to improve your health and vitality. Not just ‘what to change’, but ‘how to change’ those bad habits and why it is so important for preventing future chronic disease.
Small changes make a huge difference over time, the tips, and tricks you learn during these workshops will become lifestyle changes that will set you up for a happy and healthy future."
